Default Hello fellow rangers

Hello fellow ranger owners. I joined yesterday so im new to forums :P
I have a '97 3.0L v6 ranger. Ive started modding my truck as last month. I would like to do a v8 swap, but being only 17, i cant afford that really haha.

Also if you know of anyone who makes a cold air intake for my truck, that would be awesome.

welcome to the site. the cold air is kinda pointless. especially if your gunna wheel your truck. you can do the air box mod and get the same effect as a cold air. you get better flow and it makes your engine sound a little louder. just type air box mod into the search box and youll see it. but k&n might make one for your truck. i just looked real quick and couldnt find one for a 3.0 but you gotta look around. good luck!
p.s. edit your signature so everybody knows what ranger you have so when you post something, guys can respond with the right specs for your truck

yep, i definatley noticed a increase of HP. a lot of guys even say it improves your gas mileage, but ive only noticed a small increase up to this point. for the feeling of more HP check the tension in your throttle cable. mykhael (STL) has a how to im pretty sure. just pull your gas pedal towards you and you can see the slack in the throttle cable thats on the top of your pedal. put som zip-ties around the front of it and it will cause your throttle body to open all the way, increasing hp when you step on it. theres a vid on youtube.
