Mazda > Ford
Well, that title ought to bring some activity to this thread.
So it occurred to me when I tried to PM someone that while I've been lurking here for ages I never actually did join. Whoops. Time to rectify that now!
Anyways, my name is Brian and I currently live just outside Vancouver, BC. I've just moved back to the west coast from Waterloo where I studied Political Science at UW. Upon selling my Blazer in Ontario and moving back my father decided to give me his 1994 B3000 that he had been storing since purchasing a 2010 Ranger to replace it. I was only too happy to get a chance to own and finally upgrade the truck that I learned to drive on many years ago. Also, 4x4ing in something with doors and a roof will hopefully keep me and the inside of my truck slightly cleaner than I'm accustomed to.
I'm no stranger to trucks and offroading, having owned a number of jeeps from a 67cj5 through to an 02tj, and two K-5 Blazers. My intent was to pick up a late model Rubicon to start as the base of my new project but nostalgia aside, it's hard to turn down a free vehicle with 108xxx kilometers on it (not that you'd know that from the horrifically oxidized red [now basically pink] paint). Now that my father has no say in me tearing the truck up, I've started to finally clean it up and upgrade parts. My initial plan is to throw the Skyjacker stage 2 4" lift kit under it in the next few weeks so that I don't have to replace the rubbish front tires with something else before I get my long term 31's. I have pored over every single how-to on this site while on the long drive back across the country and am really thankful for the wealth of knowledge here. The last two days I've largely spent running around junkyards tearing out things like my shiny new Mustang dome and looking at every possible car that has replacement seats and I'm having a great time. Might as well get as much done now before I run out of money and real life catches up with me again.
I'm sure over the next few years I'll be an annoying (in that polite Canadian way) question-asker but I'm sure that I'll find some places to give back to the community here with my know-how as well.
Anyways, cheers!

Re: Mazda > Ford
Thank you all!
Also, that's the plan DJ. After I get the lift in and find a canopy I can modify I'll figure out whether to clean up the paint (cut polishing it a few years ago made a huge difference, but the results were temporary at best, yay red) or just repaint the new canopy and truck itself. I would really like to paint it all a deep burgundy colour but I know if I do that I'll be terrified to take it out into the bush for the first year or so.
This sort of colour:
