Hello from Northern Illinois
Hello, all. I thought I'd hop on over and introduce myself.
About me: I am a 20-year-old college student from Northern Illinois. I am currently working a summer job in the office at a manufacturing company. My hobbies include playing video games, reading, hanging out with friends, etc. I have owned my truck all of four days now (purchased 7/13/2011); it is my first vehicle. About my truck: 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L 4-cylinder 5-speed Two-wheel drive Regular cab w/ long bed 158,xxx miles when purchased The only modification that I can see that has been done to it are the stock rear leaf springs have been replaced with stiffer ones. I'm looking to replace those with less stiff ones since I won't be hauling many loads with this truck. In fact, I just posted a thread about this in the suspension/steering section asking for help, so please head over there if you can help me out. Thanks! I look forward to talking to all of you!

Yeah, you know...it's my first vehicle, and I couldn't be more happy with it. I am college student who didn't (and doesn't) have a lot of money, so I knew that I would have to sacrifice some things, but I think that I made a good deal. I paid $950 (down from $1400) from a guy who listed it on craigslist. There is nothing seriously wrong with it, such as transmission, drivetrain, etc. I have currently spent around $360 in parts, fluids, etc. to get it back into good running shape. That should take care of all of the things that need to be done to it immediately. I am planning on taking it to Michigan and then Ohio this weekend, so hopefully my neighbor and I can get it up and running properly before then.
