SoCal FRF
Hey Everyone!!!
The name is Don, aka Colles. Im 22 years old and I love to mountain bike. I was looking for a truck to buy an after looking at a Tacoma and a Chevy Silverado I looked at a Ford Ranger and I instantly fell in love with the truck. I cant believe at how nice it is. I was looking for a dependable truck and I think I found it.
Like I said earlier I mountain bike so having a truck is a necessity for what I do and what I plan on doing. As far as mods, nothing really planned for the truck other than a K&N air filter. Its a 2003 Ford Ranger XLT with the super-cab and the 3.0L flex fuel engine and a auto trans. I hope on getting 8 years outta the truck. It cost me 5500 from the original owner with a clean carfax and a clean bill of health from a Ford dealership (only 68k miles). My father owns a 2001 F-350 diesel and its doing him fantastic (Ford truck rule!!! ). Btw, can anyone point me to a part of the forum where they talk about bike mounts. Hope to contribute more Regards.
Colles.

What kind of mount, how many, and what kind of bike? There are hitch mount carriers of various sizes and carrying styles, as well as bed mounted carriers. I havent been able to find a bed mount system for a 20 mm front axle, tho I havent looked too hard. I've seen mounts made out of wood that you just slide the front wheel into then you strap the bike down

Re: SoCal FRF
Yeah I was thinking a bolt on fork mount. I have a Santa Cruz Heckler with a standard quick release fork. Something I could bolt to the very front of my truck bed (closest to the can window).

Re: SoCal FRF
I used to be a bike tech for a bike shop so I know exactly what kind of Thule rack I want I just didnt know if there was a section for that. I just wanted to see some peoples pics of how it looked before I made the decision thats all.
