Default New from Texas
I'm new to this forum and recently bought a 2009 Ranger.
I recently lost my second key and the dealer wants $130 for a new one. Can anyone give me a less expensive option?

Welcome to the forum. You can buy replacement keys on eBay for like $20. You'll need to program them to match your vehicle and the how-to is listed in your manual.

I lost my second key at some point. Cost me $133 for 2 keys.

I own a 2003 and only got 1 key with it. I had to pay $92.00 at the ford dealer for the second one. Thought that was high but its for our security as its chip is programmed to a specific truck. I think from reading my manual that in order to program a key yourself you need 2 keys, meaning you can program a third key but NOT a second one!
