Retired Ford tech, haven't worked professionally since '96 so I'm not up on the newer models. I just bought a 2000 Mazda B3000 4WD 3.0L V6auto regular cab for my honey, it's basically a Ranger (sez "Manufactured by Ford Motor Company for Mazda" right on the sticker) with different head/tail lights and fenders.
I drive a '98 F-150 4WD Supercab longbed 4.6L auto myself, but the little Mazda is a joy to drive when I get to borrow it.

Thanks guys. Here's a couple pics of the B3000, you can see a little of my F-150 too.
Btw found the Leer topper for $50, needs clearcoat but a nice match I think.

Thanks for all the welcomes, I'm sure I'll learn a lot here. After so many years out of the loop not wrenching every day I've forgotten a lot. Ford has always been good with tech training, we used to attend several schools a year to keep up with new developments. I haven't been to class for over 15 years. I had to look up how to remove the fan clutch, I thought it was the old 4-bolts-on-the-water pump.
