i wanna drop a 302 in my ranger but i have some questions... will the exsistin moter mounts work for the 302? what all will i have to switch out?

Your gona need to either fab up your own mounts mounts or use an older style 4 cylinder convertible mustang motor mounts, your also gona need a new tranny, oil filter bracket, If its not lifted via body lift its gona be real tight I don't think stock manifold will work your gona need headers so it clears everything, by the time you get done with its gona be one big hole in the wallet.

i'd invest in a good solid bumper they look mint on your style truck
what kind of 4.0 parts are you running on your 3.0?

its got a 4.0 cam and crank shaft. all the housing is from a 4.0 and a couple other things
