Welcome! rstangboi is right about swaps here in Cali. BAR is extremely strict on what you can do. Unless you live in Humboldt like me. Here once you get the initial smog, no every other year crap.

easiest would prolly be finding a donor explorer with a 5.0.

itll meet bar requirements and you'll have the v8 you want.

and all parts will swap over. for the most part.

V8 sounds good, as for turbo I've seen one truck online with a toyota 2jzgte but that seems too over the top. I've looked into what turbo motors might fit, I've seen that a Honda f20c would fit but too much wiring to go through. 302 sounds like the plan.

Or maybe a 2.3 turbo from an SVO Stang or Turbo T-Bird maybe??
