Default Noobie here!

Hey I just bought a '01 Ranger XLT 3.0 87k miles with a step side truck bed for only 3500! I had 4000 originally so I want to use it on the ranger. But i dont know where to start! I'm not much of a "do-it-yourself-er" but I can manage most of the stuff as long as I have an instuction manual :P. I was just planning on doing many cosmetic things such as Bug Deflector, maybe take a day to paint the wheels black etc. I have been researching body lifts and coil lifts but I'm not sure i can manage doing this in my garage with limited supplies. And since you guys probably know all there is to a Ranger, how long should I expect this truck to last with regular oil changing?

Here are some crummy pictures haha.

Welcome to FRF!

About your above question.^^ If you change the oil regular, do general maintence and upkeep, and only having 87k on the truck, you should get many, many more years out of it. These Rangers are hard to kill! Hope that helps a bit.

check out the how to section, it'll show you a bunch of things to do to your truck and how. my suggestion is the throttle cable mod. all you need is a few zip ties, and it takes up the slack from when your throttle cable stretches over the years
