New here, go figure!
Greetings all, if you haven't guessed, I am new here. I am currently attempting to resurrect my brother's 2000 Ranger XL Sport (manual shift, single cab, short bed, 2wd, white). It sat in his front yard for the last five years after he was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, the treatments caused leukemia and that got the better of him.
I now have the truck. I had to adjust the timing to get it to crank and it roared, and clattered, to life. THEN, the clutch went out. Trying now to removemthe tranny, but not having much luck. Anyway greetings and I will be pestering folks for information very soon.

My apologies, I wasn't going for the sympathy, but I do greatly appreciate the thoughts and replies.
I am trying to resurrect the truck, so I will likely need a good bit of luck; I am not as mechanically inclined as I would like. I did manage to get the tranny-to-engine bolts free (along with the starter, clutch fluid line, drive shaft, shifter, and speedo wiring). I can't see anything else connected, so it's slow going.
