I've been running my truck for 11 years to work and back (250 miles+) and have 185K on it. Never failed me. Even when it quit it got me home. I was running strong up to the moment it died.
Guess I need to take the blame I haven't taken good care of my 2.5 very well. Just changed oil. 3 years ago I did a front end overhaul.
When it quit it ran rough at idle a couple of seconds and dieded. Tried to start it on a hill (standard) but no good.
I fugured it was time for a tuneup as it had never been before. I changed the 8 plugs (worn but color was good), wires (came apart when removed), coil packs (one seemed weak theother seemed good). I tested the fuel pressure by hitting the valve on the injector bar (seemed to have good pressure and volumn), charge the battery as it was low from the cranking.
It turns over but thats all I get. No coughs or sputters. Love the truck, but I think I may have worked it to death.
