Default I see a Ranger in the Horizen

So to Introduce myself... I'm a 99 Audi A4 owner looking to move into something more of a small truck for utility and some off-road use. The Ranger is probably my truck of choice. I'm here because i'm looking to absorb any and all ranger info I can to make the best choice for my purchase. It also seems like this is a great community so there are plenty of good resources.

So far I'm really interested in a 4WD 4.0 w/ an extended cab and some small lift (either factory or aftermarket). If i come across a 5spd that would be great, but an auto would be fine as well.

Any advice or direction on what to look for when purchasing or what kind of maintenance needs to be done at what intervals would be awesome! I'm sure there is already a number of threads like this if I keep searching but if anybody cares to point me in that direction that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Thanks everyone!

Just to let you guys know, despite being an Audi owner. I do come from a Ford family... Big fan of the 5.0 and Panther Chassis. Here was our family of Lincolns - Mine was the middle one! I do miss that car...
