Default New from CA

Hi!

My name is Tim. I have a 2000 ford ranger extra cab with a 3.0 flex fuel, and a 5 speed with a cap. The engine is a little rough, and I am underwhelmed with the performance, and fuel economy. I was wondering if you can install a 2.3 liter without changing the motor mounts? I am assuming that I would need to get the bell housing from the 2.3 as well.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

dont think the 2.3 will make you happy if you are underwhelmed with the performance of the 3.0, you will really hate the 2.3 how ever i do get like 29 to like 33 MPG in mine and it is slow and steady.

(hey it the turtle from the race with the hair lol)

I'm new to Ranger too but got a 4.0 after researching on the web. Welcome!
