Hello, I'm Daniel13655 and in 1992 I purchased a 1989 two-wheel-drive, standard-cab, long-bed Ranger with 50K miles on it. Now my daughter drives it and she LOVES the d@mn thing. So, man, did we ever get our money's worth outa this vehicle. At 225K miles it no longer has the original engine, due to poor workmanship by a local Car-X shop at 200K miles. They handed my daughter the keys, told her it was ready to go, and by the time we discovered the bottom radiator hose off, the damage was done. So we bought a remanufactured engine and we're still going strong (yes, we had to get a lawyer to make Car-X pay for the damage). I've never rebuilt the front suspension, but tire wear is perfect all around. Its 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission are fun to use, but it's a little anemic, especially in a head-wind. Body is near perfect, but was repainted two years ago. Over the years we had to replace two cab mounts and the rear springs. The newer springs make it ride like, well, a truck.
