Hi everyone, I am Scott's father. Thanks for your welcomes!

I had been looking for a good vehicle for my son who will turn 16 in August. We wanted to find one that needed some work. We found this 97 Ranger, XL, 5 speed, 4X4 that fit the bill. The body is good- it runs, shifts and stops well. We paid $1000 for it and will put another $100 into it. 152K

It needs a shackle replaced in the rear, has tank gauge issues and tank supports (new ones came with the truck). It is a little rusty back there, so we will pull the bed, fix everything and repaint. It needs MAF attention as well.

Scott is working with me on buttoning up the mechanical restoration of our 70 Olds (455 Olds, now 461 with TH400), but in this case he will be the project manager and I will be his assistant! I also have a 99 F250 7.3 6 speed PU with 175K

I am sure we will have questions and appreciate your help in advance.
