new member/ new ranger owner
hey everyone,
My names nate, im new to this forum and also to rangers.
i just bought a 1998 ford ranger 3.0L v6, ext. cab. 5 speed.
it was a work truck before i got it. its got 197,000 miles on it but had the tranny rebuilt at 80,000. overall it still runs great.
So, besides some cosmetic work, i am looking to soup it up a bit. upgrade the performance of it and what not. so any ideas where to start would be much appreciated
thanks to all,
nate

I used to come down to Billings to party at the Wild West, it was a lot of fun. I miss having a real winter, as much as I HATED 40 below zero in Havre.
What are you wanting to do to the truck? DD it? Lift it? That would give us a better idea to suggest things.

Re: new member/ new ranger owner
yea the winters here are harsh. but im a snowboarder so i like 'em cold and snowy.
but im looking top make it more off road able. ya know like maybe put a 3 or 4 in. lift on it some aggresive tires, and better suspension
as well as getting the max horsepower out of it as possible, by adding whatever performance parts are necessary.

You have a 3.slow, make sure you can afford gears before you talk about lifting and bigger wheels. My truck is stock with 31x10.50s and she did awesome through most snow fields lol I miss blasting through the snow, keep a little whiskey with you too keep the edge off lol

Use the search feature and look for the gearing guide so you can check. It will depend on the tire.
Sucks on the DUI, I just got in some trouble and I'm not allowed to drink, but I can still drive lol
