Default First Time Ranger Owner

Hi!

Just last weekend I purchased a 2007 Ford Ranger (I posted photos in my album here). It's pretty basic - white, regular cab, steelies, 2WD and a basic frills no thrills interior. But I love it. It has the 3.0L Vulcan V6 and a five speed automatic (could it be four? I forget.) I'm hoping there are modifications that I can do to this truck to increase the gas mileage a little - 15 MPG in the city and 20 MPG on the highway is rather paltry - at least compared to the MPG my parents trucks get.

welcome to FRF, Chris!
the 3.0 gets the same MPG as a 4.0 which is between 15 and 18 mpg (city/Hwy)

Wow. I guess I overlooked the fact that the Rangers 6-cylinder competition doesn't get any better MPG, so I'll zip it hahaha.

Does anybody know if it is possible to convert these trucks from 2WD to 4WD and from automatic to manual?
