Default New member in Iowa

Hello!
I am Roger Burdette. 58 years of age. I do industrial type photography for construction companies mostly.
Several years ago I bought a used '92 Ranger and I just bought my fourth Ranger last Friday.
Hmmm. I guess I like them. All but one of these trucks has been RED.
This is the fanciest one so far. '05 FX4 Level II with 108,000+ miles of break in complete. My '01 is sitting beside it in the driveway now. It only has 262,577 miles on it but I wanted a slightly newer ride. My truck is my office, as I am a photographer with no studio. I travel to the job site wherever it may be.
Now to clean up the 2001 and get it sold.
I will be visiting here to learn about improving the performance (read that as gas mileage) of my truck. Various other things too.
Yes, I already plan to put a K&N system in it. It worked fine on the '01.

Welcome, Roger! Congrats on the new truck, Rangers sure can take a beating, you said the 01 has 262,577 miles on it?? Must have been well taken care of. Loretta (my truck) is a '90 and only has 140,000 on it, but she was not treated very well Good luck with both trucks, and again, welcome!

I have a 1990 Keystone Ranger 2wd with a 2.9L, V6. She's a beater and I named her Loretta. In the past 2 years I have replaced the battery, starter, starter solenoid, radiator, alternator, and the driveplate. Little things that I have replaced include all the mirrors, spark plugs, in dash radio, headlights, air filter and brakes. Would like to start modding her and adding some performance parts

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. This board reminds me of the one I am most associated with:

http://www.iowacarry.org/

We are the place to go for information on the Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons. I know it is a long way from Ranger Nuts, but it is what I do in my spare time.

Nice forum here. Well done!

Pictures will soon appear. I am really busy right now but I am a photographer so I guess I should prove it and post some decent pics of the new old Ranger.
I am having decisions to make about tire sizes right now.
The '01 has expensive 16 inch tires on it and the '05 came with hard riding tires on 15 inch rims.
I think I will just switch them since the diameters are the same.
