the 4 cylinders get great gas mileage, around 25 to even 28. they can still tow a substantial amount. overall badass

An 08 or an 09 XLT Power group is in that range . Mine brand new was close but a few thousand more . I have a 4X4 all power , Extended cab as I too need a little more cabin room . 2 Wheel 4 cylinder will give you a little better gas but I do ok with the 4.0 litre 6 Cylinder , around 300 per tank , 14 plus gallons ( right now about 45 dollars to fill it on a 1/4 of a tank ) . I love it parking and in and out of boston as its smaller than my Dodge Ram , and easier to move around with . Plus I can haul some decent weight and tow up to just about 5700 lbs . The wife and I take it all over as She has a 2007 Honda Accord . We have taken it on the beach and had a ball . Drove up in the woods , not real 4 wheeling but deep into the woods on easy trails . We have about 23K on the Honda and just about the same with my Ranger . We use it a lot !
