Default not kidding you this ranger drives better than my moms lexus...

hey there everybody! i just recently got my first truck, and my uncle who is probably one of the best mechanics in the united states (and im not even kidding about that, he tought his son how to make hydrogen fuel cells for his Mitsubishi eclipse from scratch as a high school student... ill post the pix if you guys really dont believe me lol) and he told me that if i got a truck that no matter what the first one had to be a ranger because he said it will be my first and last small truck, meaning i probably wont ever get rid of it. he has his and he rolled over the odometer twice because he uses it daily for work and drives parts back and forth all day.
back to my truck tho. lol.

Call me a redneck but after i did my research, i fell in love with the looks of the ranger and the stance compared to other small trucks. no joke, it became my dream car. it doesnt really look mean to me, it just has more personality than the smily face toyotas and odball looking nissans and POS s-10's, and lets face it, i really doubt those colorodo's are going to last that long. the reason the ranger is such a good truck is because ford got the overall design right the first time around. the truck has hardly changed over the years and has only had one MAJOR restyling in its lifetime.

My ranger Is a Black 1994 3.0L V6 5-speed 4x4 that i plan on changing from a little truck with personality to a big offroader with some attitude problems. lol. no SERIOUS lifts, i want to even the ride height and put on a set of 15x10's with 31's or 32's. havnt decided yet but im probably going to settle on 31's for comfort of ride and fuel economy.

now heres why i love this truck so much. first off the obvious reasons:
Its black, my first choice in colors.
its 4wd, which was required
its an extended cab, thank god i will have some easy access cargo space
and heres the kicker, remember how i said its a 1994? well it only has 80k miles and i only paid 3950 for it... my friend who is buying my mazda saw that i had this deal up on my computer and told me not to pass up the deal and i told him i couldnt drive a stick so i would have to wait another couple weeks but he was so insistant that i get the one with good miles that i want, that he loaned me the money for the truck before im giving him my mazda (2 more weeks and that pos is out of my goddamn hair). thats a REAL friend for you. im not the most reliable person when it comes to loans when it comes to time lines but i always pay people back no matter what, and thankfully this case is easy. as long as my mazda doesnt spontaneously combust in the next two weeks while its in my driveway (for the most part lol) i will be safe.

well heres some pix of the two most beautiful things in the world to me, first my girlfriend then my truck. lol. but the order is a secret....... LOL not even serious.

I would really love to know what everybody thinks. im a feedback junkie. lol

Welcome! good intro!

I'm interested in seeing more of this hydrogen fuel, post a thread with pics and how they went about it.

Good looking truck, my old 93 looked like dog's ass in comparison to yours. Whoever owned it before you took great care of it. Looking forward to progress as far as the lift and modifications go, good luck and welcome to your new addiction.
