Hey guys, new to the Ranger community. I have a 1999 3.0 Ranger with 130k miles on it. The truck had a blown transmition when I bought it, so my uncle and I rebuilt it. All the clutch discs were stripped.

Anyway, I am just wondering if there are any secret tricks I need to know to improve the life of the truck, I'm also wondering if there are any simple mods to get a little more power out of it.
-Now, Im not sure if this is for all 3.0 Rangers, or if its just mine, but, my 0-60 time sucks, its about 15 seconds... a prius can move faster than that... and the motor sputters at about 95 MPH. Are these normal?

oh, another question... the heater core went out on the previous owner, so i am just wondering how much of a pain in the butt it will be to change that out myself

properly maintaining it will make it last.
engine sputter at 95 would be the speed limiter.

yes, all rangers "sputter" around 90-97mph. -speed limiter as STL has stated above.
a 3.0 is referred to as a "3.Slow". so a 15 second 0-60 is not uncommon.
