I just bought a 1999 Ranger 3.0L 4x4 SuperCab. I basically stole it for the price I got it for. Its got a few little issues but nothing I cant handle. I wanted to get everyones opinion on this noise I am hearing though. I was thinking wheel bearing but not so much anymore.

When its in 2wd I am hearing a loud humming from the front and of course gets louder with more speed. Sounds like a bearing. I put in 4wd and noise goes away or gets allot quieter that I am not hearing it.

Any Ideas?

not sure about your noise problem.
If it is your wheel bearing ,usually your left side will make more noise when turning right and make noise on right side when turning left
