new ranger owner
hi every one, im new to this site, i just purchased a 2003 ford ranger from a buy here pay here lot. im 21, and i never established credit so the only way to buy a truck was from a buy here spot or a private sale. I put 1000 dollars down and im paying the rest off per week. I havnt had the truck 2 weeks yet and it turns out the head gasket is bad. i had a ranger before, and it had 225000 miles on it and ran great. so i thought another ranger would be a safe buy. I think my only option is to fix this truck. but im not sure. I live in jersey and i need some help from someone with more knowledge on this subject. If i have to fix it i would need some step by step guidlines. ive never done a headgasket, but im no stanger to a wrench. i understand it wont be easy. The truck is a 2003 ranger, 2 door, 2 whl drive, auto, 3.0 6 cylinder. I need this truck to last in the worst way and any help would be a life saver. thank you for the time
