Default Got a thing for Rangers

Hi Everybody,

Obviously new here. Came looking for some help with a 1997 XLT 4x4 I just bought, and decided to join. Wanted a small pickup for a while and about 1 year ago bought a 1997 Ranger XLT 2wd to run to work and the home improvement stores. Love the truck and put some time and money into making it a fine machine. No major upgrades but things like tires, shocks, 4 leaf spring shackles, tune up, etc. Heading home from work about 3 weeks ago I saw a 1997 Ranger XLT extended cab 4x4 on a dealer's lot. Stopped in and ended up buying it...Seems to be in pretty good shape but has a few minor (I hope! ) issues that I will be addressing. Anyway, right now I own 2 97's but hopefully will make it 1 in the near future.

Love the truck...looking forward to using it to haul equipment for remote shoots (photographer here) where 4wd is needed. Also, living in the northeast part of PA the 4wd will definitely help in getting around.

Looks like I have a bunch of reading to do as I browse through the forum for answers to my "new" truck issues.

Glad I found this forum...looking forward to participating.

Bernie
