i live in Ohio and i have a 2000 ranger xlt with no modifications but i do need some help with emission stuff its got over 100,000 miles on it and i will need some repair information. im glad i found this site!

My name is Fred i own a 2000 ranger xlt 2.5L no mods just a go- to- work - truck. starting to have egr problems now i have changed everything but the egr valve(its 1yr old)and the pressure sensor.

welcome to frf. and who cares about emissions. only california cares. they wont get you for emissions unless they test it. and im pretty sure cops around you and me dont car about emissions. just sayin though. glad you joined this site.

Thanks for chiming in! i live in a crappy county that will NOT give you sticker without passing an emission test every 2 years.

wow. ive never heard of that lol. i live just inside indiana on the ohio border. i'll tell ya what you can do. make the exaust how you want it until you have to get it checked. then just clamp on a muffler. lol they wont look into it. they dont care that much i guarantee it.

Does anyone have a picture or a good explanation of where the EGR pressure sensor is located? if im in front looking @ the motor is it the gray box on the left side of the manifold towards the middle left side?
