Default Hi from Central NY

Hey everyone! I've got a 96' XLT w/ the 5speed manual tranny, I've had my ranger for about 8months and i don't think it'll be my last either, currently my ranger is just about completely stock aside from a deck, some pioneer speakers, and a drop in K&N filter. I plan on doing a little bit of cosmetics to the body over the rear wheel wells, and looking into either trying to straighten out the front bumper, or just replace it. The previous owner claimed to have run into a parked vehicle in a parking lot. I, like everyone else, is working on a budget. This will be my DD as well, but if anyone has suggestions please feel free because im open to any and all. anyways on with the pics!

Hi. The front bumper thing...very common if you look at older Rangers. With my previous 1987 one, I never did that but the front plate got bent from parking too close to things other than other vehicles. With the Fiberglass hood of my 2002 Edge I usually park a little too far back when I get out and look at how I parked. The bent up front bumper seems to be common on 1990 or so right up until the introduction of the power bump hood..introduced on the Edge...later put on all models. Long out of style the square sheet-metal of 70's vehicles gave the best perspective of where you were in a lane, how close or far you were when parking,..the usual ridge in the middle of the hood plus the clearly seen ends of the front fenders helped. With newer vehicles, and for shorter people especially the slope of the front end is so much that you no longer can judge how close you are to what's up ahead since you can't see the ends of the hood and the forward ends of the fenders. Anyways think about that as you see a Ranger of a year similar to yours.
