wish i had read this earlier. i will have to take a pic hopefully tomorrow. i did:
new shocks
welded on new shock mounts cause the old broke right off taking others off.
repaired/detailed interior. it was nasty, really nasty. took an entire day.
plastic welded the arm rest glove box back together.
installed dome light fixture
repaired minor surface rust on bottom inside of doors.
painted inside door wells and sills.
repaired old sill plates.
sprayed a black pebble coat at rocker line entire length of truck
welded plate steel from a 67 simplicity tractor to repair rotten radius arms.
new front wheel bearings
bolted on 17's from a 07' dodge magnum sxt (only 7/10th of 1 mm off ranger.)
cut out the ram heads on the wheel covers so bearing caps would poke through.
scraped entire undercarrage, rust ended then sprayed undercoating.
minor body work and paint blending. (single stage urethane toreador red $53 a flipping pint!)
lot of rust ender and detail through out but the body was all metal. 0 bondo in it.
cut the paint with meguires #4, da polish @ 1400 rpm into the clear coat then nxt 2.0.
repaired tail gate.
took out plastic box minor metal work and then sprayed in a bedliner.
took off throttle body and cleaned. so bad needed a tooth brush to get rid of ring.
cleaned out IAT
cleaned MAF sensor
welded up exhaust. will replace next year.
recharged a/c with 135.
new spark plugs. originals were still in it at 98k. gap had grown on some to .080+. 2.3 plugs were an absolute pain in the arse to get to on drivers side.
new pcv.
flush out cooling system.
oil change.
air filter change.
fuel filter change.
repaired hood latch.
repaired door locks.
detailed enging bay.
installed fog lights.
lot of other detail but it was a great project and she turned out bueatiful.
