Default Curious ranger owner
Hi, My name is Richard Potter. I was told to contact someone on the ford ranger forum to get some advise on a truck i recently bought. Its a 2001 ford ranger xlt side step.
Im having a problem with the horse power. Eats gas like crazy. does anyone have any ideas what I can do to up my HP and get better gas milage.

is your truck 4x2 or 4x4?
3.0 or 4.0? (3.0's are known as 3.Slow)
I have a 2001 4x4 and it averages about 15 mpg highway.
(actual dealer sticker claims 14-17)
