Default New to Ford and Ranger as well

Just thought I would take a moment to say hello and thank all the people that take their time to share their knowledge and experience to help out those of us just starting into the world of the Ford Ranger.

I enjoy projects and my most recent project is a 1989 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab. It has a 2.9l V6 with a Mitsubishi FM146 manual transmission, 7.5 diff with 3.73 gears and a dana 28 front diff. I got it off of craigslist for $400.00.

This is a project truck that I am going to be working on to be used hauling trash, some work on the farm and to drive on the beach and go fishing.

First order of business with it is the transmission... but that post is for another category.

Take care and I look forward to this learning experience and maybe even meeting a few of you one of these days.
