My name is Matias Fernandes, im 28 years old and I am the happy owner of my new -old- 1996 Ford Ranger XLT, perhaps from the most far away location in this forum, im from a city called Paysandu, in Uruguay (south america).
As I said, its an 1996 Ranger XLT V6 3.0L with manual transmision, and only has 142.000 kms (86.600 miles)
I bought my truck last week (last Wednesday), and since then, several things changed...
Got the original alloy wheels, intact, absolutely brand new (swaped for thouse ugly it came with)
Gave a full polish, now "she" is white again instead of chalk
Gave a full clean to the engine (manual clean, offcourse)
Change the radio, change the oil, and also oil, air and fuel filter (all original Motorcraft)
Tomorrow, a full clean to the inside and also, repair the center console (arm rest).
"She" has some details specialy on the body (some small bumps and scratches), but with time and patience, I will repair her, and leave her 100% original.
Last but not least, I unisntalled and awfull chineese power windows kit and also, a chineese alarm... later I will show you a video where you will see what I did to it
Here are some pictures... as I said, with time and patience I will take good care of her!!
See you guys!
I will post more pictures of the restauration process soon...
