I have an 87 2.9 Ranger 4X4 that was running good and went around curve and hit pot hole and it quit running. First thing I thought of was inersha(sp) switch on pass. toe board, wasn't tripped and seems to be functioning ok. Fuel pumps won't energize. Replaced frame pump. No luck. Can jump accross pump relay(which I replaced) and pumps come on and I get pressure to rail but still won't run. Replaced ECU, module on distributor, checked all fuses and fuse links I could find, Still it will only crank and the pumps still won't energize. It has spark. It's like the pumps and injectors won't fire. Anyone with similar problem or better yet a solution to my delima please drop me an e-mail. Only thing I haven't changed that I can think of is the starter switch under the column. I've been intermitly messing with this for about 5 weeks now and am out of ideas.
