Just picked up a 1990 ranger with the 2.9, auto, with 158,000 on the clock. Got it to save gas driving to work as well as give me a reliable DD to soild axle my fullsize chevy trail rig finally. Dropped $450 bucks on it.
Not to pretty now, also dont plan on dropping a bunch of money at it right away, just want to get it running good first. Already put in a new battery and new shocks are on the way. I also had a set of stock ranger wheels painted dark gray with over 75% tread left that i threw on but dont have any pictures of yet. Also need to get the welder fired up and get some solid sheet metal back on the truck. Cab mounts are also junk which is why the cab isnt sitting level with the bed.
Future plans also include:
simple 5 spoke 18" wheels,
possible lowering kit depended on what a stock truck looks on 18s and lower profile tires,
would also like to shave the tailgate, and door handles,
also need to get a aftermarket headunit to replace the factory one,
probably going to paint the truck black with a rattle can since it doesnt need to be perfect.
