Default New member here!!

Just got a 09 Ford Ranger about a month ago. She's just a plain jane 4cyl 5spd. The only option it has is A/C.

My last Ranger was a 94. I am VERY impressed with the gas mileage this thing gets. I do baby it, but WOW!! 32.6 on the 1st tank (all hiway) 2nd tank was 29.7 & this tank is doing well also. It is still on the high side of the 1/2 tank mark & has 217 miles on the tripometer..

Just thought I would say hello..

Speaking of modding.. What do you suggest?? I have a tonneau cover coming & am looking to drop in a K&N air filter. Do they sell tuners for the Ranger?

No I will not be lowering it. I got it to replace my 95 F-150 XL 300 6cyl auto with 186000 miles on it. Still didn't use a drop of oil. Just rusted out pretty good.
I just have the truck for back & forth to work & for hauling things when needed.
Otherwise I drive my 07 Mustang GT on nice days.

My plans so far for the Ranger are:
Bed rail caps
Tonneau cover
K&N air filter
Mobil1 synthetic oil
Window tint
Bug shield
EGR block off plate
And when it comes time to replace the tires I will get some aluminum rims at the same time as the new tires.

That's pretty awesome for any truck. Even better doing it with the 3.0 6cyl.
What mods have you done to yours?

Welcome to FRF! What kind of tonneau did you order? Only asking b/c you stated you were looking into bed rail caps.

does it mount flush or does it sit on top of the rails? have a link/pic of it?

You are looking at the OEM Ford plastic bed rail caps correct?

Sits on top of the bed rails.

The bed rail caps are not OEM. they are off Amazon.com 57.00 including free shipping.
