Thanks all for the warm welcome!
So far I've just got a plain ol' 2WD 2.3L 5 speed but since I have owned virtually nothing but SHO's for the past fourteen years (12 of them and counting!) I can't imagine it staying stock for too long! We have already measured things out and decided a SHO V6 will fit inside the engine compartment.
So I guess it's just going to be a matter of time before that happens! A couple years ago I helped by doing all of the electrical engineering and installations of putting a 5.0L Cobra V8 into a 1993 Ranger. It worked out fairly well but the owner decided to sacrifice the air conditioning rather than have a custom A/C evaporator case made. I think I can shovel the SHO V6 into this one and not have to lose anything.
The first mod I'm going to do is to fit a Ford factory CD-6 into the dash to fill the big hole that was there when I bought it. The PO really hacked up the radio bezel trying to fit God knows what into the dash so I’m going to need a replacement like Clinton mentioned. I have already determined that the CD-6 will fit into the hole I just have to sort out the wiring and figure out where to hide all the speakers.
