Exclamation Torque to Power Inquiry

I am inquiring to see if anyone's solved the torque deficiency that the 3.0 liter V6 has. My new complete K&N cold air intake kit will be here tomorrow. What else can be done? It looses torque in first gear, going up hills and stepping on it on the freeway. Continuously shifting from 5th to 4th on the freeway. Love the truck! This is my second, but my first was the 207 hp 4.0 liter V6; torque on the fly.

Thanks!

Default Deficient 3.0 liter torque to power

I changed less than four months ago. It's had great mechanical attention. It just had the engine pulled and ALL of the seals, gaskets, sensors, idle control and serpintine belt replaced. It has a year and a half old Yokahoma 31" tires on it. It has a brand new suspension, including Monroe Sensitrac overload shocks. Compression is strong. It's just way less torque then my old 4.0 (1994) Ranger.

If you could afford to regear, that would make a world of difference.
