Default New to the FRF

Well, I guess to start off, my name is Mike. I own a 2003 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. I bought it in Anchorage Alaska in March 2006. I have had no major problems with it. The only complaint or issue I have with it is the governer. It won't go over 90. Does anyone else have this issue or have any ideas on how to remove or rest it?

I know. My camaro had a governer, but that is a sports car. I don't think I want to buy another diablo tuner chip for a Ranger though. The way I look at is if I wanna go fast drive my camaro, if I want to go off roading, take the ranger.

Welcome to FRF! The Ranger is governed at around 92...you need a programmer to get rid of it though.

Did you put bigger tires on your truck?

That's strange that they would change the top speed for different years....
