Howdy folks, nice place ya got here. Well let's see, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to Rangers. I've got myself an '88 XLT 4X4 2.9L Auto. She's white with the red pinstripe with the ugliest red interior made by man. She's got a topper and some side boxes, neither of which have properly functioning locks ;P She's my first car, got her from my mom's dad. All he ever used her for was dump runs, so she has really low miles at 73,000. She was averaging about 18 MPG but just recently she's been doing about half that, I'll have to go into that more elsewhere. As far as plans for her future...

1. A new paint job, I'm thinking the same factory white with gray or brown spots like a Palomino (p.s. I call her my War Pony)

2. Install a bumper and grille guard with a winch. After a couple of months of looking, I think I'm just going to manufacture my own.

3. Install either a second or larger tank. This 12 gallon tank just ain't cutting it.

4. Install some KC lights.

5. Rebuild the tranny and adjust the shift points

6. Install lift kit

7. Install some monster suspension, I didn't just make the name Airborne Ranger, I earned it


That's about all the mods I am considering for the time being. Anyone wanna bet on how often I'll be coming back here for help with them?
