Default New guy from MS, for now...

Hey everyone!

Nice to find a forum for the Ranger, I just received mine by the way of delivery to my current station that is Keesler AFB. Im 20 and in Tech school learning to do Comm. Ops. My truck is a 04 XLT 4x4 bone stock in the way of upgrades, but no doubt I'll be looking soon as I will be heading to Colorado Springs to do 2 years at the USAF Academy as permanent party. Well, that's all for me, see you all around!

Welcome, 3C0!

There are a handful of Ranger forums out there. This one has potential!
Awesome that you are in the military. I'm not, but I have the utmost respect for those who are. I know you said your truck is stock, but do you have any pics of it? What kind of mods do you have planned for it?

Hey! Yeah I have a pic that I can show you. As for the upgrades, I just bought a tool box for the bed. Someday though I'd love to put on some nice Weld racing wheels and maybe raise it. Along with exhaust and intake, but those are a ways down the road until I PCS to Colorado.

Thanks and nope, but I would like some. I was thinking of a bull bar with some off road lights on it, but Im not sure how that would turn out.

Ah so you probably have the Value Edition like me. THe only upgrade on mine was fog lights. You probably have all the wiring already on the truck, would just need to get the fog lights and the switch. Bull bar looks good, the only downside is cut down on approach angle.

Would any foglights work or would I have to get the factory ones? Oh, and would it require any cutting? I'm not a huge fan of cutting things on something that already looks and works fine.

On ours the OEM looks best as we have a squared off looking fog light. And if you look behind your valance where the fog lights should be, there may be some tabs that you could pop out where the fogs would be. If so then no cutting would be necessary.

Welcome fellow comrade, AF is the way to go for sure. I am in the Army, Active duty and been in for almost 12 years now, about to PCS to upstate NY soon here. You will have fun in Colorado and will defniately want to do a bit of lift on her out there to get to the fun places!! It is beautiful if you haven't been there before. Hope things work out and can't wait to see what you got in store for your baby.
