Default New guy from WI

Im from southeast wisconsin, and I drive a 2wd manual ranger, which makes for some great fun when the snow comes down. My truck isnt pretty, but it starts first time everytime, with killer ac and heat. This is actually my first vehicle, Im only 19, and i dont know as much as id like to about automotives, but ive wanted to start modding my truck from the second I got it. And then when I found such a large body of enthusiasts, it only encouraged me

thanks guys. i look forward to seeing all the things everyone has done to their truck. might give me some cool ideas. i was originally going to make it into a prerunner, but the cost for that was outragous.

Hi Jimbo, welcome from another newbie from across the border in Minne-so-cold!
I have fun when the snow falls too, except when starting from a stop on a steep icey slope, or when i see someone sliding towards my rear bumper in my mirror!

Thats always a good time. In my hometown theres lots of places by lake michigan to go drifting (roundabouts in parking lots and what not). and the roads tend to be wide enough so i have a blast. i didnt take a single turn that wasnt sideways. i had a few good ones where i lost it and was facing the opposite direction on the wrong side of the road lol

but as you surely understand, the cold just is horrible around here. one morning the INSIDE of my windshield was iced. couldnt figure out why i wasnt making any progress scraping the outside haha

yeah me too, I hate being cold! but I don't get cold. between the great heater in my ranger, plus dressing in the right insulating layers for the temps, I stay comfy even on the coldest day.
On the other hand, when it gets hot, I can only strip down so far, and if I am still too hot, I am out of luck!
The only thing I don't like about the cold is its effect on my fuel economy. I get low to mid 30s in the summer, it drops to the mid to upper 20s in the cold!.
