Default Old and new again '92 Ranger owner

Hello everyone.

I have a somewhat interesting story about this almost antique Ranger.

Back when I was in high school, my dad bought a high mileage red '92 Ford Ranger that was my first vehicle driving once I got my license.

It eventually took a trip to Maine for my parent's house up there to haul trash soon after I graduated. My mom wanted garage space for newer vehicles up there so, instead of her trying to sell it, I offered to take it off her hands once again.

So a couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I flew up to Maine, transferred the paperwork over and drove it through Canada 20 hours (we took it easy since it hadn't been driven that much in a long time) to Michigan.

Anyway it's still going crazy strong after tuning it up and I couldn't be happier.

How's it feel to have it back, man? I'm happy for you. I have a story like that myself.
Don't mean to thread-jack but now your story's got me day-dreaming of yesteryears.
My first Ranger was a '90. It was absolute as base as you could go. Didn't even have power steering. I drove that truck for three years and traded it in for a '96 S-10 (sorry). The S-10 was an awesome truck; power everything, 4x4, factory CD, the whole shabang. The 4.3L is a powerful motor. But, I stayed true to my old Ranger and after only 7 mos of driving the S-10, I sold it out-right and went on a 2 hr trip to visit the guy that bought my old "90 Ranger (went and asked the dealer who bought it, happened to be his preacher). Made him an offer and took it home with me that night. I've had nothing but Rangers since (as long as you count my '78 F-250 Ranger Exploerer). I loved that truck.

Hah thanks everyone, as far as what I plan to do with it, I'm looking for an old cheap top to put on it so I can throw the dog in the back (no extended cab here) and use it for concert road trips and also generally as a nice reliable 3rd vehicle between the lady and I. Plus general truck stuff like tailgating, cheap moving out of this crappy apartment, and all the other things I've missed out on since owning a sedan.

Can't lie though, I'm pretty stoked and swimming in nostalgia. I love telling people I'm driving the vehicle I learned with and that it's still running even though it's 2 years away from being eligible for historical plates.
