New guy
My lovely other half rolled her 6,000 mile Jeep Gladiator and totalled it. Ordered a new Maverick, but if you've been following current events, the chips that are needed are in back order. Dunno when we'll see it. Probably at least six months.
So I hunted around and found a 2000 XLT Sport with O/D automatic and the 3.0. Carfax verifies it has an actual 57K on the clock and has been meticulously maintained. Zero rust, and clean as a whistle. Gave out 7,000 USD for the little critter.
Anyway, someone on another car forum told me I should replace the Cam Positioning Sensor as a failure would blow the engine.
Fact or fiction? Thanks in advance.
