| | Hello from Illinois - Searching for truck...
Hey guys. Glad to be here!
I drive an 89 4x4 2.9 model with 190,000 on it. It's on its 2nd engine, 5th head swap, 3rd radiator, 2nd manual tranny, 5th clutch, second rearend, etc.. BUT I love her.. She's given me almost 11 years of almost dependable service.. Plus it helps that I keep finding $100 parts Broncos and dragging those home. I currently have a Bronco II that runs well but needs a new auto tranny. I also have 2 other parts Bronco II's...
I've been wrenching on these old Rangers since owning my first 86 model over 14 years ago. Rangers are all I've ever owned. I'd like to find another 86 2wd that was MINT and RED... I'm currently on the hunt for a rather rare configuration for a Ranger. I'm looking for a 2000 or newer, 4x4 4.0L, standard cab, manual tranny.. If I could get it with a rubber floor covering that would be even better. Although the Edge model would be prefered.. Low mileage is a must, and I'm not really wanting to spend much more than 10K

Oh crap! I didn't subscribe to this thread and missed you guys' replies! I have got a lead on one but it's an automatic unfortunately. The price is almost too good to pass up though.
If you guys have any leads on a manual trans model for me with the 4.0 in a regular cab then let me know by replying here or PM'ing me PLEASE.
Mileage to go get the truck is not an issue as I'll be flying out to test drive it and possibly buy, if the price is right..
I really appreciate the help!

I forgot to say, thanks for the warm welcome guys!
If you find anything then that'd be GREAT!
The guy with the automatic truck is kinda waiting on me to get there, as I had a big problem with getting a rental car, so the trip got cancelled. HUGE FIASCO! I've been debt free with no loans for over 12 years so my credit sucks, and I always pay in cash, so the rental company didn't think I was worthy of one of their rentals. Little did they know I had enough cash on me to buy one of their crappy little econo-box's.. You can't even pay them in the American dollar either! Something's wrong with this country now-a-days..
Anyway, I'd appreciate any leads on a truck, and if someone finds one that I actually go buy, I'll Paypal ya some beer money...

I was hoping you would have found one by now.
And you're right, sometimes a big stack of cash is useless.

I was hoping to have found one by now too..
I've never been so angry at a business before. I drove an hour with a family member to get to the Hertz office. I could've taken a match to the place.. Livid..

I don't know if you are interested, but there is a guy that is getting rid of a 92 Bronco that needs tie rods and the rear drive shaft and that is it!!! It runs and drives fine for $500. Syracuse NY craigslist!!!! Check it out cause he is going to junk it if there isn't a buyer soon, what a moron! I would go and get it, but I don't get back to NY till the beginning of Sept!

I don't need any more Bronco's. I've already got 3 of them as parts vehicles. I'm looking for a Ranger 2001 or newer basically.
