Default Stopping in to say hello

Hi,

My name is Jon and I've loved Ford Rangers for many moons now. I am now on my third ranger.

I have a 1987 totally stock ranger I'm currently considering making a project truck and despite all it's been through, that thing still runs. It's time for a new engine and to strip it down to metal and clean everything up and repaint - and to replace the cab upholstery and dash - all split and needing repair.

I am about to take delivery of a 2003 XLT extended cab. It's a sweet little beast with 6 cylinder 3.0 2 wheel drive - I'm not going boonie crashing so much, but I do take my trucks out into the wilderness here in the Sierras a lot so it was a personal preference since I plan to use it for our ranch here and for commute to work/etc.

Had a 1995 4-banger with auto transmission (actually, my wife at the time had it) and that poor thing was so gutless it was a pain to drive. I felt like I had to get out and push it. My 87 would run circles around it, but I did like the extended cab so that is why I went with the 2003 XLT extended cab.

Planning to add a tear drop trailer to the 2003 as a tow - lightweight and perfect for our planned outings - This is going to be the paranormal ranger - yes... I hunt ghosts and we specialize in on-site hunts out in the remote parts of the west, so I am planning on looking for someone who can do some custom airbrush for our team - Ghost Rider Investigations or GRI - We've got 4 years into hunting and it'll be great to mix the Ranger into the team and haul people and gear to our cases in style ;>)

This is a great board and nice to meet you all!

Jon

Welcome to FRF! Great intro. Have any interesting videos of your ghost hunts?
