Default 1996 Ranger alarm issues

Hello All,
Just joined the Ranger forum, and have issues with 1996 Ranger random alarm going off.
Alarm goes off whether it has been armed or not. I have replaced door switches, confirmed hood switch not the issue, replaced the Ignition lock cylinder and ignition position switch. My son is the second owner and truck is in near mint condition inside and out with 132,000 KM.
Can anyone tell me how to remove or bypass this RAP system please it driving me nuts

I have the PATS system in my 2000 & have not had any problems. Does the truck have a alarm system or is it the horn beeping?. Because if it is an alarm that sound like it is an aftermarket thing. I am pretty sure if the PATS system is tripped the horn starts beeping.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the response, the 96 Ranger has the Rap system, Pats was later years. No after market alarm in it, and when it goes off it’s horn and marker lights flashing.
This year has the “theft” light on the dash which starts out solid then after 30 seconds flashes of armed.
We have tried hood switch, door switches, ignition lock cylinder etc.
