Northern Georgia, 96 2.3L
Hey folks!
Great to be a part of the forums officially! I first joined the Ranger family about 2 years ago, when I trader a twentieth anniversary Land Rover Disco to my buddy for his 1996 2.3L Splash. He thought I was crazy, but you can actually find parts for a Ranger, meanwhile he's about to junk that Rover.
I'm moving from Seattle to Georgia in early August and would love to meet new people to turn wrenches with. I'm a 32 year old Army veteran and welder. I play DnD, several stringed instruments, and dabble with a few languages. I e got a CB in the truck and can't wait to camp my way across America!
Now that I've learned a thing or two about fixing vehicles, I'm hooked! May use my GI Bill to take some automotive classes once I get there. Would love to find a local truck club or just some locals who know the best spots, pick up a 4x4 Ranger and fix it up. Any tips, let me know, doesn't look like there's a lot of scrap yards.

Ranger specs: 1996 rwd 2.3L manual. Allegedly a Splash but it's been totalled, salvaged, rebuilt. Nothing seems to match exactly right. But I've rattled canned her tan, put an Infantry crest on the doors, cut down and welded a roof rack to fit the stepside bed, even got a CB!
