"Traded" 03 XLT 3.0 for 07 XLT 4.0 4x4
Hey all-
It was a sad day, but this past Dec I sold my 4x2 green 3.0 ranger xlt for $2800 with ~170k on it. Picture attached, in green. I had bought it in 2009 for $6300...so not bad! I loved the color & interior tan sooooo much, but I couldn't drive it in the snow at all, and I live in New England. Washed it regularly in the winter and there was MINIMAL rust. Had a 3" spindle lift, looked great, but ruined the turning radius. I wouldn't recommend that route to anyone. Sad day. Anyway...I just got this for $5,250! 2007 4x4 XLT with 4.0. 174k. Pics attached, in black. Rust isnt bad, though might need new lower control arms in a few years. Seats aren't as comfortable, and I miss the tan interior and green of my old truck, but black is #2 favorite and the engine is SOOO much better. Here she is. Some projects on the list. Cosmetically, I'm swapping in a 05 style honeycomb grill and I'd like to swap out the rectangle "Ranger" fender/tailgate emblems for the older style with just letters. As a side note, if anyone knows off hand if the mount holes on those emblems are the same (Or are they just glued on), that info is appreciated too! Thanks! Phil
