Hello
Hey guys, my name is Eddie. Got a 2001 Ford Ranger back in 2000. She has been the only vehicle I've bought or owned since. Always wanted a mini truck since high school so I finally did it. I commute 100+ miles a day to work and home. Never gave me any problems till a week ago. Not bad for a ranger with 300,000+ miles. So I'm hoping to get suggestions and advice here. In fact, this is probably the best place.

2001 Ford Ranger XLT 2wd, 2.5L 4cyl. DJM 4/5 drop kit, 17×8 Rockstar 775, 205/65R17 Blacked headlights, smoked corners and taillights. Alpine head unit, JL Audio speakers, JL 12w3 and JL amplifier. Future Projects: 8.8 rear end swap and paint job. Maybe a V8 engine swap.

Tried to start my truck, dash lights came on like normal and it didn't even crank. I assumed it was the clutch safety switch, so I bypassed it. It started right up and was good for a week, but recently it didn't start again. I haven't had the time to troubleshoot. Thanks

Being as there is not really any trouble shooting, and you jumped the clutch safety, it might be that your truck is having trouble registering if its in neutral on start up. Could be alot of things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eddie, welcome to FRF. If you got no crank when you turned the key try it with the door open so the interior light is on. Observe the interior light when you turn the key to try to start it. Does the interior light dim when you try to start it?. You may just have a bad connection at the battery.
