Default Day 1

Hello all,

Bought my first Ranger yesterday off Craigslist. 15 years old, 150k miles. Seems to have been very well cared for, aside from a cracked windshield (replaced today) and broken tailgate handle (replacement on route from Amazon). Interior is almost untouched and drives like a dream. Came with a CheckMate tonneau cover.

I'm Jesse, 23, work as a finish carpenter (I got very tired of cramming my tools in the trunk of my 2005 Elantra) so the Ranger will be well used. I camp and backpack often and do a lot of vegetable gardening as well - all of which make me very thankful to have a truckbed. Last month I was filling the aforementioned Elantra's trunk to the brim with mulch.

Pictures coming soon! Look forward to getting to know the crew here

Hi, sorry for the delayed response, I had a total nightmare this past week getting the title transferred - the DMV system thought the car had been registered in another state even though I had a title in hand and all. Spent 6 hours at the DMV and 2 on the phone before I got it figured out.

I've never been so happy to pay the government than when they finally let me pay the use tax and transfer fee after a week of stressing about the car being stolen or something.
Anyways, now I'm in the clear and can breathe a sigh of relief and start working on the truck. I've got 152000 miles now, any suggestions on big problems I should be looking ahead to? Or preventative maintenance specific to the 2004?
