In line stereo amo

I got a 08 Ranger Sport ext cab. I have a OEM am/fm/cd/mp3 stereo. This is going to be my show/pleasure ride. I want to keep it original as possible. I was considering installing a in-line amp. I found a FOMOCO in line amp for a 2013 Explorer and was wondering about wiring it into my stereo. Any thoughts...?
