I don't know if "Level" is a good position but.. back in the day.. a similar sized but longer Grade 10 bolt (think shear forces in an accident, Grade 8 may work fine but hey.. what chances do you wanna run?) and a few large washers did a lot. You might be rather surprised at what 4-7 washers may do for the seating position.
Otherwise Eat McDonalds a few times more a week, put some weight on and feel it all just melt away as you pour yourself into the seat like a yard of wet cement.. LOL jk
